Scary books

What sort of books can't you read?

For me it's scary books.  You won't find any Stephen King or Dean Koontz on my bookshelves.  I don't quite know why...I enjoy a good murder mystery but even the children's series of Goosebump books are beyond me.

Even tho I am the biggest scaredy cat you'll ever meet, when I was younger I watched every horror movie there was.  "Who's watching the children", "Friday 13th", "Halloween", "Poltergeist" and "Amityville Horror" just to name a few.

My best friend and I would stock up on chocolate and lollies and either head off to the drive-in or go to her house and settle in for a night of horror.  There was nothing better than a good scare.

On Sunday Michael was happily drinking his strawberry Quik.  Silly, silly boy started blowing bubbles in it with his straw and we all know that puppies love bubbles...

And here's Lulu doing her best Stephen King's "Cujo" impersonation....

Is it any wonder that Michael drank his strawberry Quik in the kitchen last night.

Aww the puppies are beautiful!

I too can't read scary books although loved them as a teenager! I dont even like thrillers because they stress me out! I love historical fiction and Australian history the best!

There's nothing better than a good book. I used to read lots of scary books as a teenager too Phoebe - never when I was home alone tho...

I adore scary movies, but cannot watch them. So I ask other people who've watched them to tell me what happens... scary books, I can read. Depends on how scary. I adore Stephen King, he seems to be able to lead you up a path where you end up scaring yourself.
