Tap, tap, tap on the glass...hello we're here...
Most mornings and sometimes evenings we have a family of magpies come round for a meal.
This is the first magpie we met. He's the older male and we've named him Baby. He's quite tame and will eat out of our hands. |
We always have 2 or 3 regulars and the rest come and go. There's only ever 2 boys in the tribe and the rest are made up of young females and one bossy older female.
They sing a lovely song while they're waiting and are that loud some mornings that they wake the youngest son up.
Just love them. And yes, hopefully I'll get a new camera soon and put up better photos.

You have a beautiful blog. when are you going to read the Johanna Trollope book I gave you? It will resonate with most fifty somethings with children....not that you're fifty something....
That's funny....maybe you should start charging per meal;)))
They provide great entertainment value Dawn. They love to tease our youngest dog by just flying out of her reach. Or they sit on the basketball ring and "sing" to her. She tries so hard to jump up and get them - very funny to watch.
Darling sister, I am reading the Johanna Trollope book. I did actually blog a little bit about it - obviously you didn't read it ;) It's my car book - so whenever I'm waiting in the car I read it.
